We have experienced further setbacks in our plans
to create a dedicated ‘non-food’ area upstairs. We are still waiting for quotes from potential joiners for the manufacture
and installation of our custom-designed units plus all the other work
required (new flooring, partition wall etc).
Despite this we have started to buy in new stock for
this new section including products from Balm Balm, Pure
Potions and Vidar, the latter being a range
of wonderful children’s bath products including water dyes, crackling bath pellets, foam soap
and confetti, all natural of course.
It looks like our plans will be realised by the end of June at the earliest. We’ll keep you informed…
ANNUAL REPORT PLANNED
It’s been two years since we opened our doors and, so far, the response has been fantastic. However, we’re still struggling to pay ourselves even a half decent wage and trying to figure out where this year’s apparent profit has gone, but feel that we have built a firm foundation for future (modest) success (and modest success is all we’re looking for anyway).
What this means is that year 3 will be a crunch year for us; we won’t be able to rely on Tax Credits much beyond year 3 and will have to start paying off those who have kindly lent us money to get Organic Heaven up and running. Because of this, we have decided to produce an Annual (well, Bi-annual) report in which we review our progress over the first two years and set out our plans for the next two. Copies will be available to download on this site or hard copies can be picked up in the shop. Expected date of publication (!!) July ’07.
